The largest airplane made by paper was a construction called "Carola Wilhelminchen" with a length of 5.1 m, a wingspan of 18.21 m and a weight of 24.1 kg.
It took students and employees of the Braunschweig Institute of Technology (Germany) no less than 2,500 hours to complete the project.
The successful flight took place on 28 September 2013 in Braunschweig.
